PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
DATE AND TIME: Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 1:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as possible.
LOCATION: Ventura City Hall, Santa Cruz Conference Room (Room No. 223), 501 Poli Street, Ventura, California 93001
PURPOSE: Notice is hereby given that the Mound Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency Board of Directors will hold a public hearing to consider adopting a resolution establishing a groundwater extraction charge to fund the costs of a groundwater sustainability program, including, but not limited to, preparation, adoption, and amendment of a groundwater sustainability plan, and investigations, inspections, compliance assistance, enforcement, and program administration, including a prudent reserve for the Mound Sub-Basin of the Santa Clara River Valley Groundwater Basin (Department of Water Resources Sub-Basin # 4-004.03). The proposed groundwater extraction charge will be imposed on groundwater extraction, in an amount ranging from $30 to $35 per acre-foot, depending on billing period. If adopted, the charge will become effective July 19, 2019.
